Singapore During Turbulent Times - World War II

Dear 5.9,

For those WWII history enthusiasts out there, I have attached some links to websites that provide you with more information on the events leading to the fall of Singapore during World War II.

http://ourstory.asia1.com.sg/war/war.html - This website provides an interesting account of the events that occurred in Singapore right up to her fall to the Japanese on 15 February, 1942.

http://www.s1942.org.sg/s1942/home/ - A wonderful website with a wealth of information (video and audio clips, photographs, war diaries etc) on the Japanese occupation of Singapore - A MUST-SEE!

http://www.historyonthenet.com/WW1/causes.htm - If you would like to go back in time further (World War I 1914-1918), explore this website to learn more about why World War I occurred and how some of its events led to World War II.

Happy exploring,
Miss Lee :)
